Barack Obama to David Letterman: "Somebody's Benefiting from the status quo"

Here’s a minute from President Obama's interview with David Letterman, January 2018. The message is to GET IN THE GAME. To be an activist: If you see an injustice, be willing to do something about it. That’s not always easy, but it’s necessary. That’s how progress is made; ordinary people deciding, “You know what, that’s not right.” If you DON’T try to take action, you are part of the problem and “somebody’s benefiting from the status quo.” Change is difficult because of apathy, and because there are people who don’t want change. You can make changes. By taking an interest, others will, too, and the ball begins to roll.
