Barbados' Historic St Nicholas Abbey: a tour of the distillery and taking a train!

St Nicholas Abbey: Uncovering 350 years of Barbadian history I can't lie. This episode is a definite demonstration of the perks of hosting a popular podcast that's based in paradise. I mean, if waking up under the Bajan skies wasn't enough, this week, I'm actually visiting a rum distillery, and getting on a train. And not just any train. The train that takes you high above Barbados on Cherry Tree Hill. You'll also hear me touring with St Nicholas Abbey distillery owner Anna Warren and tasting rums with her son Simon. I also get to see the sugar cane plantation. It was a great peek into Barbados’ history and a very fun day out. Not to mention I got to see the humble beginnings of the island during my tour of the great house.
