Barbara Drake from This Oregon Life: Stories About Your Oregon Experience

During this program at Central Library, guest speakers and audience members joined us on statehood day, February 14, 2009, and shared why Oregon is their special Valentine. Barbara Drake is eternally grateful to her parents for moving from Kansas to Oregon in 1941. She is the author of several books of poetry, of Writing Poetry, a college creative writing textbook widely used and in print for the past 24 years, and of Peace at Heart: an Oregon Country Life.Target Audience: Adults
