Barbara is a leader in the entertainment industry - an artist, innovator, and accomplished media executive with an incredible depth of expertise in VFX and digital production. Her pioneering work stands out in the realm of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. She's built a successful career, holding key positions at some of the biggest names in the business - DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Digital Domain, and Walt Disney Studios. And she even served as the SVP of Digital Productions Services at HBO, where she led studio production, post-production, and next-gen technologies. She currently holds the position of Chair of the Scientific and Technical Awards Committee for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. She's the first-ever woman to hold this prestigious role.
