Barclay DeVeau - Women Struggle to Get their Voices Heard in the Movies

Barclay DeVeau is a writer, producer and director who has won several awards for film production including two Emmys. She tells the story of her career as a child actress and fledgling movie maker, famous directors who mentored her and how gender bias holds women back in the movie industry in spite of the statistics that show women-led movies show a greater return on investment. She is seeking funding for her first feature-length scripted film about a strong woman in conflict with a small southern town, "OPAL."
