Mark Henkel explained that the real question to ask is, “What is the ratio of men-who-want-to marry-women to the number of women-who-want-to marry-men?” Mark Henkel reiterated his soundbite about the current era of dumbed down males, with marriage-phobic "playa" baby-daddies and abandoned single moms. He pointed out that, as more same sex marriages have been recorded with men than with women. same sex marriage further reduces the number of men-who-want-to marry-women from that more relevant ratio. The co-panelist began suggesting that chastity until marriage was the way for men to grow up and would heal marriages. The host strongly disagreed, saying it would set people up for failure. Mark Henkel noted how that would call for government to control the decisions of people, which he could not accept. That became a good point at which to segue to the related "other topic" that the host wanted Mark Henkel to also bring up.
