Bardwell Switches to Providence | Big East Basketball News

Javon Bardwell, a top-ranked four-star small forward from Georgia and originally committed to Kansas, has flipped his pledge to Providence — reclassifying from 2027 to 2026 to join the Friars under new head coach Bryan Hodgson. The move, made without any friction with Kansas, signals a major recruiting shift as Hodgson reshapes Providence after leading South Florida to conference titles. For Kansas, Bardwell’s departure leaves a void in their 2027 class, while Providence gains a key piece as they build for the future.
