Barnes & Noble bookstore chain to open new Jenkintown location

The next chapter for Barnes & Noble bookstores is going to make Jenkintown-area book lovers very happy. Fourteen years after the chain closed the book on its Jenkintown location, the retailer is opening up a new location across the road from its former home in a space once occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond. The new bookstore, which is more than 20,000 square feet, officially opens next Wednesday, Sept. 16, in Noble Town Center. Opening day will include a ribbon-cutting, book signing, character appearances and deals. The Jenkintown location is one of 60 new Barnes & Noble stores to open this year.
