Meanwhile an error on the opposite side of the political spectrum has been to herald Trump as the anointed and blessed leader ordained by God to lead us out of our liberal morass and to a new, golden age of American decency, goodness, and even holiness. We would do wise to remember: "Put not your trust in princes, in the children of men, in whom there is no salvation.
