Barre Schools Vote Again for Budget | Montpelier News

Barre Unified Union School District is voting for a THIRD time this year to pass a budget—making them the only district in the state without one for FY2027. After two failed attempts (3.36% and 2.73% increases), the board says they’ve cut everything except extracurriculars, which could vanish if this vote fails. Ballots are cast today until 7 PM: Barre City voters go to the auditorium, Barre Town residents head to schools. The community’s future hangs in the balance.
