Barred window overlooking a dark garden
from Daily Picture Hosted by Stephanie Hawkins
Today I saw a picture of a window with vertical bars overlooking a dark garden. This could represent the unknown which sometimes we are anxious or fearful over. When light comes we realise we needn't have been so. There are many verses in the Bible which tell us that the Spirit of God searches and knows all things. "For nothing is secret that will not be revealed ...(Luke 8:17). "He reveals deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him" (Daniel 2:22). Even if the Holy Spirit has withheld some secrets for now, He is always reminding us of God's promises to us, that He will never leave us or forsake us, providing us with His glorious peace and joy. We are safe with God. Again, there are many bible verses assuring us of that. King David declared, "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil for You are with me...(Psalm 23:4). We really do not need to be fearful or anxious.
