On April 7th, Missouri guard T.O. Barrett is jumping into the NCAA transfer portal after two seasons with the Tigers. The combo guard put up solid numbers this year, averaging 8.6 points, 3 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game. He saw action in 33 games under coach Dennis Gates, starting 14 of them while logging about 23 minutes a night.
That experience has him ready for bigger opportunities elsewhere. Coming out of high school, Barrett was a three-star prospect, ranked 142nd overall in the class of 2024 and 5th. Among combo guards, fans and scouts saw potential early on. Now that he's officially in the portal, expect interest from programs looking to boost their backcourt depth.
Missouri will have to regroup without one of their key rotation pieces. Keep an eye on where Barrett lands next. Could be a spot where he blows up even more on the court.
