The real Barry Seal was much more than a commercial airline pilot recruited by the CIA after being caught smuggling Cuban cigars to make a little extra money on the side. That could not have been farther from the truth yet served as a crucial moment depicted most recently in the Hollywood movie American Made starring Tom Cruise as our leading man.
