Baseball and BBQ Episode #158: Baseballmapper.com Creators, Cory Nissen and Patrick Noote and a Replay of Pitmaster, Matt Dallman from Live Coals Barbeque   Cory Nissen and Patrick Noote are childhood friends who met over 25 years ago while they both worked at a Chicago pizza shop.  They are the creators of baseballmapper.com, a website that will help travelers who love baseball find places to visit throughout the country.  Their website has an extremely detailed map, a blog with stories on Patrick's and Cory's travels, a shop with baseball-related merchandise, and baseball news.  They came up with the idea for this project while planning their annual baseball trip for their group of friends.  They were looking for local baseball teams in the area of the trip when the idea struck them. What if there was a website to make that type of planning easier? The idea was born and what started as a tool to help themselves out became a great opportunity to share with the world.  The best way to learn about their website is to experience it yourself at https://www.baseballmapper.com   Matt Dallman is a Texas transplant by way of Kansas City, MO who has made an indelible mark on the region's fanatical barbecue community.  In 2015 this self-taught pitmaster opened the BBQ restaurant, 18th & Vine in Dallas, Texas.  Since then he has sold his interest in the restaurant and in the Summer of 2018 he started the catering operation, Live Coals Barbeque.  Matt has many stories and cooking tips.  We could not pass up the opportunity to talk some baseball once we learned of his Kansas City Royals fandom.  Matt is another guest we would like to come back and you will agree once you hear this replay of his fantastic first appearance. If you want to learn more, go to https://thelivecoals.com/      We recommend you go to Baseball BBQ, https://baseballbbq.com for special grilling tools and accessories, the Pandemic Baseball Book Club, https://www.pbbclub.com  to find many of the wonderful books we have featured as well as some additional swag, Magnechef, https://magnechef.com/ for excellent and unique barbecue gloves, and Cutting Edge Firewood High Quality Kiln Dried Firewood - Cutting Edge Firewood in Atlanta for high-quality firewood and cooking wood. We conclude the show with the song, "Baseball Always Brings You Home" by the musician, Dave Dresser, and the poet, Shel Krakofsky. We truly appreciate our listeners and hope that all of you are staying safe.
