There was reason to be excited about the 94th Academy Awards, and there were plenty of moments that brought us great joy. But unfortunately that all got overshadowed by Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on live tv, in front of millions, with no repercussions. And then he goes on to win the award for best actor to a standing ovation and a five plus minute speech that praised himself as being a vessel of love.
