Two ways we mistreat the Spirit in the church setting When we ignore what the Spirit IS saying John 15:26 - When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. When we credit the Spirit with saying something He IS NOT saying When we attach the Spirit’s direction without consultation When we attach the Spirit’s direction to something non-biblical. Especially to get our own way When we attach the Spirit’s direction to our personal preferences.
