Batman: The Dying City- And The PROBLEMS With Modern Superhero Comics

In this weeks episode, Ryan makes Jamie read part of the currently ongoing comic series, Batman: The Dying City. Written by Chip Zdarsky and art by Jorge Jiménez. They also use this comic as an example of the problems with modern superhero comics, how the medium can restrict creativity, and why so many great writers seem to do their worst work on Batman. Timecodes00:00 - Intro02:00 - Comic Credits02:53 - Broad Thoughts10:59 - Starting with the Arting14:56 - General Story Talk25:54 - The Problems with Modern Superhero Comics36:29 - Story with Spoilers50:04 - Back to Modern Superhero Comics58:52 - Comment CornerYouTube- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_2GA9q40JoBmnbOrkjGuJg Apple Podcasts- https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-comic-literate-podcast/id1670647884 Spotify- https://open.spotify.com/show/4hd5lO43gSZyyh5UEmcq2U?si=NOE0uX4iRHWGDwIoCRfndQ Google Podcasts- https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy50cmFuc2lzdG9yLmZtL3RoZS1jb21pYy1saXRlcmF0ZS1wb2RjYXN0Pocket Casts- https://pca.st/r8b1cyg7Comic Stan- https://youtube.com/@comicsstan-q1z?si=F9mxzO-eSmfWphWx
