  • The average person starts freaking out about their phone battery at 38%.

  • Some people panic before 50%... others wait until it's nearly dead.

  • A man in China got a lung infection from sniffing his dirty socks.

People Start Panicking About Their Phone's Charge When It's at 38%
New research has revealed that the "panic percentage" for phone battery life is 38%. That’s the point when most people start worrying their phone might die. About 34% hold off until it drops below 20%, and a chill 13% wait until it’s under 10% before stressing. On the flip side, 24% of Americans say they start panicking before their battery even hits 50%. Unsurprisingly, younger adults are way more likely to freak out early compared to older folks. So... are you a 38%-er or part of the “10% and still thriving” crew?

A Guy Got a Fungal Infection in His Lungs from Sniffing His Own Dirty Socks
This one’s straight out of a “don’t try this at home” PSA. A man in China ended up in the hospital with a persistent cough and bloodshot eyes. Turns out, he had a fungal infection in his lungs—and doctors traced it back to a bizarre habit: sniffing his own dirty socks after work. Yes, seriously. The same fungus found in his lungs was also found on the socks. It wasn’t athlete’s foot exactly, but a similar type of fungus. Fortunately, he responded well to anti-fungal meds, but let this be your sign: maybe skip the post-work sock sniff.
