from Sri Sathya Sai Podcast (Official) · host Sri Sathya Sai Media Centre, Prasanthi Nilayam

Spirituality Keeps Me GroundedAmol Anil Majumdar is the legendary first-class cricketer who was appointed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as the head coach of the India women’s national cricket team in 2023. It was under his sterling guidance and stewardship that the Indian women’s cricket team lifted the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup on November 2, 2025, in Mumbai. A primarily right-handed batsman, he held, for a brief period, the record for the most runs scored in the Ranji Trophy, India’s premier domestic first-class cricket competition. In fact, he finished his Ranji career with 9,205 runs, which remains among the competition's highest-ever tallies. He was one of the guest speakers at the Summer Course on Indian Culture and Spirituality at Prasanthi Nilayam in July 2026. Following his inspiring talk to the students in the Poorna Chandra Auditorium, he visited the Sri Sathya Sai Media Centre and reflected on how spirituality had been his silent strength through the tumultuous journey of his cricketing career, and how the basis of this resilience was his connection with Sai.
