King Puff-jaw of the Frogs hosts a party when a scout announces the arrival of Prince Crumb-snatcher of the Mice and his entourage. The frogs invite the mice, and they share stories of their kingdoms and dangers. During a trip across the lake, a water snake appears, causing the frogs to dive underwater and inadvertently drown the mice. Enraged, King Gnawler of the Mice declares war. Despite an initial advantage, the frogs suffer heavy losses, and King Puff-jaw is nearly defeated.
