Dr. McCausland is a retired Colonel from the U.S. Army and former Dean of Academics at the U.S. Army War College. He is a Visiting Professor of National Security at Dickinson College. During his military career Dr. McCausland served in a variety of command and staff positions both in the United States and Europe during the Kosovo crisis and Operations Desert Shield and Storm. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Army Airborne and Ranger schools, and the Command and General Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. He holds both a Masters and Ph.D. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. Dr. McCausland is the co-author of Battle Tested! Gettysburg Leadership Lessons for 21st Century Leaders, available September 1, 2020.   COL. TOM VOSSLER (RET.) | AUTHOR AND HISTORIAN Colonel Tom Vossler, U.S. Army (Ret.) served in the U.S. Army from 1968 thru 1998. He commanded an infantry platoon in the Vietnam War and a Mechanized Infantry Battalion Task Force in Germany prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall / Soviet regime. His military education includes graduation from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War College. Tom taught military history, strategy and leadership at the U.S. Army War College and he is a former director of the U.S. Army Military History Institute at Carlisle Barracks, PA. Tom is the co-author of A Field Guide to Gettysburg and A Field Guide to Antietam. His latest book, co-authored with Jeff McCausland, Battle Tested! Gettysburg Leadership Lessons for 21st Century Leaders is available September 1, 2020.
