Baxie talks to legendary drummer Bruce Smith. Since 1979, Bruce has played with the insanely influential post-punk band The Pop Group, Public Image Ltd. with John Lydon, and The Slits. He’s also played with Terrance Trent Darby, The The, and Bjork as well! Bruce is currently involved with Ashes and Diamonds—the incredible Super Group with Daniel Ash from Bauhaus, Tones on Tail, and Love and Rockets, and Sade’s bass player Paul Denman. After seven years together and loads of interruptions and restarts, their debut album “Ashes and Diamonds and Forever” is finally getting its long overdue release (10/31/25).
