He learned Portuguese to go to Brazil for the FIFA Soccer World Cup. On his YouTube channels: SmallAdvantages (with 2.7 million subscribers) and TadyGavin he teaches English through his own journey of learning Portuguese and Czech respectively. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. I'm absolutely amazed by Gavin's motivation to accomplish so much, on top of running a business and raising children. I feel seriously inspired from this conversation. We discussed how he has gained mastery in Portuguese without ever living in Brazil. He explained how he creates a Brazilian life in Colorado, and even speaks exclusively to his son in Portuguese (both he and his wife are American). How visualization is a powerful tool for him to speak three different foreign languages. Why "I don't have time" is not a real excuse, and what you can do if you are someone who feels like they are always too busy.
