BB Gun, Real Gun, Real Consequences | St. Louis News

A 19-year-old, Ceneca Peterson, is facing serious charges after a chaotic early morning chase on Manchester Road—where he allegedly waved a gun at cars before fleeing. Officers caught up to him, mistaking his realistic BB gun for a real weapon, and fired twice. He’s expected to be okay, but now faces assault and resisting arrest charges with a $50K bond. Two officers involved—one with 8 years, the other with just 1—are on administrative leave. This incident underscores the high-stakes, split-second decisions police face daily.
