In the latest episode of the “Best Coast Boys” podcast, host Landon McCool is joined by Daniel Houston (@CowboysStats) for an extensive conversation on the use of analytics in the NFL. After the introductions, Daniel and Landon begin with an introduction of Expected Points and EPA. They discuss the strengths and weaknesses of using EPA as a measurement of success. After that, the guys move to the defensive side of the ball and discuss using EPA to try and quantify Defensive Playmakers beyond just traditional stats.
