Bday Celebrations Part 2 (Elementary)

In Part 2, Vicky and I discuss the words and phrases used in the "Catch My Drift" dialogue from the previous episode. Of note: How do you ask the date? How do you say "throw someone else a birthday party" in Chinese? ..and an easy way to understand the prefix - 可 Kě (and btw, I finally thought of the best translation of 可口 - Kěkǒu.... What do you plan to do for her birthday? 男性：我们今年打算在家给她过一个简单的生日。给她准备几个她爱吃的菜，和她想要的生日礼物，再给她做一个大大的巧克力蛋糕。 Wǒmen jīnnián dǎsuàn zàijiā gěi tā guò yīgè jiǎndān de shēngrì. Gěi tā zhǔnbèi jǐ gè tā ài chī de cài, hé tā xiǎng yào de shēngrì lǐwù, zài gěi tā zuò yīgè dàdà de qiǎokèlì dàngāo. We are planning to have a simple birthday at home for her this year. We will have some of her favorite food, birthday presents she's asked for, and make her a big chocolate cake.
