Be a raft, not a rock

from The AJNashville Podcast · host AJNashville

Episode 120:Your time is valuable, and should be spent doing great things for the people that matter the most to you. However as human beings, most of us have the desire to give back and be there for the people around us. Its human nature, and its ok. The biggest thing we need to do is be sure we are using that time well. We never want to surround ourselves with people who bleed negativity. But yet we want to be able to help those who need a hand up. You have to have balance. Sometimes you must make yourself unavailable to people to be helpful to yourself. Remember always try to help people, but never expect anything in return. Once you start expecting things in return, you will soon find yourself in disappointment. Not everyone is in this for the greater good of others.
