Be A Source Not A Spectator- Broken Record

from Fearless Church Podcast · host Fearless Church

Welcome to the Fearless Church podcast! We are so glad you are joining us for the first message in our Sermon Series, “Broken Record". The events of the past year have shown us that our world has a lot of work to do in learning to understand how to bridge the racial divide in humanity. We believe that the church should be the leader in building a bridge towards one another. We also believe that this problem will be fixed not by better strategies, elected officials or social media campaigns. It can only be healed by the power of the Gospel. This week Pastor Chris Williams challenges To be a source and not a spectator.Discussion QuestionsHow have you personally observed or experienced racial discrimination, bias, or injustice in your lifetime?Read aloud Isaiah 1:17. Do you believe racial injustice is a topic Jesus wants his followers to engage with? Why or why not?Read aloud Mark 6:35-37. How do you think the disciples felt when Jesus responded, “You feed them”? In what ways do you identify with the disciples in this story? What would it look like for you to move from a “Spectator of Hurt” to the “Source of Hope” regarding racial injustice in our culture?Covid-19 Precautions If you’re not feeling well, please wait to attend on campus until you’re fully healthy. We have two on-campus Sunday services: 9:30 and 11am (Our 11:00am service is live online on our Facebook Page and YouTube Channel) We provide kids ministry (birth – 5th grade) at 9:30am and kids and middle school (6th-8th grade) at our 11:00am service.
