Be an open book

Today I saw a picture of a large bible sized book which was lying open and I was aware of the words, "Be an open book". This means that we are not to put on a false image, a façade, in order to achieve a goal. We are to be the self, the personality that God created us to be and to use the skills He has blessed us with. This is the only way that we will be able to lead the life He wants us to serve Him with. He will be satisfied and actually we will be satisfied by being authentic and following His will for us. Philippians 2:3-9 says, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus, Who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage ... Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place ...". By humbling ourselves to being the person God has created us to be and not trying to be the person we think we should be or we think others think we should be, we will fulfill His will for us in our lives. God will then elevate us in His time.
