Be Careful What You Say In Court

Ecclesiastes 5:2 says, "Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few." When we come into the presence of God, we must not forget—He is not just our Father, He is also the Judge. We often speak carelessly in prayer, thinking volume equals value. But the courtroom of heaven does not move on noise. It moves on reverence, alignment, and truth. You wouldn't walk into a natural courtroom shouting, rambling, or accusing. Yet, many enter God's presence performing, ranting, or manipulating. God is not impressed by spiritual theatrics. He's moved by humility and honor. The angels cover their faces. Moses removed his sandals. Even Jesus withdrew to quiet places. Reverence isn't old-fashioned—it's holy posture. And silence is not absence—it's acknowledgment. When you don't know what to say, don't say anything. Wait. Listen. Scripture says, "Be still and know…" Stillness precedes clarity. You may feel ignored in prayer, but maybe God is trying to silence your noise so He can reveal His voice. Most of us don't need to talk more in prayer—we need to listen longer. Be careful what you say in the presence of the Judge. Heaven is listening, not for emotion—but for obedience, for posture, for trust. The next move of God won't come through performers. It will come through listeners. Prayer is not about getting God to hear you. It's about preparing you to hear Him.
