Be Diligent and Walk in the Light | 3650 Minutes of Prayer
from Psalms23Wave · host Mathew Sekanjako
This is Day Four of 3650 Minutes of Prayer. This episode centers on spiritual diligence and discernment, drawing from Ephesians 5:13–16. Scripture reveals that darkness is not only physical death or moral failure, but spiritual unawareness—living without light, understanding, or attentiveness to God. Paul teaches that when light exposes darkness, it is not for condemnation, but for awakening. Spiritual death is the state of being alive outwardly, yet undiscerning inwardly. The Apostle Paul reminds us that the days are evil, not because time itself is corrupt, but because many live careless, distracted, and unaware of what the Lord is doing in their lives. We are therefore called to walk carefully, not as the unwise, but as the wise—discerning, alert, and intentional. To redeem the time is to recognize that every moment carries spiritual weight. This reflection calls us to remember the work of the Lord, to remain awake in His light, and to steward our time with wisdom and obedience. These reflections lead us into prayer, asking God to awaken our hearts and teach us to walk wisely in His presence.Prayer & Reflection Scriptures (AMP)Ephesians 5:13–16But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light [of God’s precepts], for it is light that makes everything visible. Therefore He says,“Awake, sleeper,And arise from the dead,And Christ will shine [as dawn] upon you and give you light.”So then, be careful how you walk [live your life], not as unwise or witless, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people], making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil. There is One true God, the Creator of all things, revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There is One God and One Spirit Who has redeemed us all. I am Mathew Sekanjako, a believer in Christ Jesus (Yeshua HaMashiach), the one Son of God. I serve and confess God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This intercession is offered in faith, in obedience, and in love, for all who will listen.
