As the Apostle Peter faced martyrdom, he was moved by the Holy Sprit to write a second epistle to those who had “obtained like precious faith” in Jesus Christ. He was motivated to encourage believers to remember their salvation, to continue to grow in grace, to beware of false teachers and to be diligent knowing that the judgement of the unrighteous come as a thief in the night.
