But sadly, we are a country that focuses more on what divides us instead of what unites us. As Christians, we must set the example. It is up to us to show the world how to live. Let us use this season as a time of reflection and gratitude. Let us consider fasting and prayer before the big meal. Let us thank God for our blessings and the ability to be a blessing for a needy soul. Be grateful.I.Be grateful by having a forgiving spirit. (vv12-13)II.Be grateful by having a loving spirit (v14)III.Be grateful by having a peaceful spirit. (vv15-17)Having a grateful and thankful attitude leads to peace. This peace allows us to fully appreciate the love God has for us. In turn, we are able to love ourselves correctly and love others compassionately. This compassionate love blesses us with the ability to forgive others just as the LORD has forgiven us.So this Thanksgiving season, let us use it as a time of reflection and gratitude. Let us embrace fasting and prayer before the big meal. Let us remember our blessings from the LORD as we seek to be a blessing to a needy soul. Simply put, be grateful. Amen.
