Be Holy: 1 Peter 1:13-16: Day 4

Holiness is the response of a life that belongs to God.After reminding believers of their living hope, Peter begins to explain how that hope should shape their lives. He calls them to prepare their minds, remain sober-minded, and set their hope fully on the grace to come. Then he gives a command that can feel overwhelming: "Be holy, because I am holy." Holiness is not an attempt to earn God's love. It is the response of people who have already been rescued by grace. Because we belong to God, our lives should increasingly reflect the God who has called us.Reflection: What area of your life most needs to be increasingly shaped by the character of God?
