For those who don’t know, Joseph went through some serious stuff.His brothers trapped him and sold him into slavery, into slavery in a foreign country. Once  in that country, he ended up going to prison for things he not only didn’t do, but absolutely refused to do. Once in prison, the folk he helped forgot all about him until they needed him again. And yet Joseph went on to become the second most powerful person in Egypt, the ancient world’s wealthiest superpower. How did he make it through? He allowed himself to be guided by God every step of the way. He didn’t give into his circumstances or his environment. He didn’t give into anger, bitterness, or self pity. Instead, he responded to each situation with integrity. He the most of whatever opportunity was available to him. He gave his best at all times and always tried to be a blessing. I’m convinced that was the way through then, and it is the way through now. I’m Horace McMillon. This is 60 Seconds of Hope.
