In the dead of night, as people sleep, that's when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three, dark things take power. We like to call it the supernatural hour. And now, our hosts.

I don't love you, Tim. But we are back with another episode of Supernatural Hour. Oh, yeah? Yeah, we are rolling.

Rolling, rolling, rolling. Keep those wagons rolling. Rawhide. And I was like...

And I guess I should probably just go ahead and introduce people because we just randomly started. I'm your host, Castle. How else do we do this? Like, it's not like...

We got Beaker, AK Tim. I do. I swear to God. You need to cut out the nation.

You shouldn't swear. God doesn't like it. I swear to Him, though. He still doesn't like it.

All right. Who brought this guy in the show? I did. Jeez.

I think it was my idea originally. I think it was your idea, actually. We have got one of our investigators, Mike Findley. I don't know who.

You've probably heard about him. They've mentioned him a few times on Ronan. I think we've mentioned him a few times here. I actually heard they mentioned him on Ronan this last episode.

It does happen. He got a shout out on their chingapal. Hey, boycotts. The sonic drive-in on...

Yeah, in Mid-Bell. I got home. You're like, it's gone. By the time you get to the front door, I'm like, what the heck?

I take off the lid and the ice is all the way to the top. It looks like two-sung astround, you have a couple of eyes. Yeah. Yeah.

There's nothing that pisses me off more when I get a fountain drink from a place that fills it for you. They basically fill your cup to the top of the ice, then put in two ounces of fluid to fill in the empty space between the ice. No, maybe in Cheesecake with soda. I mean, it's so cheap.

Again, I don't even pay for the soda when you go to those places. You pay for the cup. Yeah. I say, I need like maybe the bottom third of my cup filled with ice and then the rest of the drink.

I'm with you. Anyway, tonight we do not have lurch. We do not have granny cinnamon or silent dawn. Basically, we had, well, we had a huge monster fired in the county that long story short of Jack of our schedule, so we're recording on an off night.

But they will be back with us in the next episode. And we're also releasing this a day late because, well, it should have come out this morning, but we're recording tonight. So here we are. Yeah, that's going to confuse nobody.

Hey, it's going to be this morning, but we're recording tonight. Like we do every other week. I don't think anybody's going to complain because none of the other shows are releasing episodes this week. So you're saying we're special.

It's funny though, but it's funny though is I want these people to listen and realize that you all bits. There's no shows this week, but no one said, well, hey, there's a supernatural hour show this week. Well, technically as of this morning when we went up and up, we're supposed to probably go in those sense of bitches. They're supposed to be an episode this week.

Well, when they're complaining that there's no Ronin going on, like, oh, there's no life on the rocks. It's no gray guy. They like mentioned every show, but ours. You know, assholes.

That's just on the pod dash group. We've got our own following. I'm pretty sure like most of our listeners aren't even on that pod dash group. Yeah.

You're pretty much on my enemies list. You're coming to give a shout out to, uh, what are the, the Bulgarians? They're not Bulgarians. Belgium.

Belgium's European friends and Belgium, I believe it is. Remind me of the name of the name. I would have to look at it. I know it's Danny because one of them I believe.

Go Danny. Anyway, shout out to Belgium and Canada. I think we got some wisdom in Canada. I think my car's like our tireless.

Alright. We got five Belgium's three Canadians. I think it's up to six now. And one guy in Arkansas.

It might jump up now with you on the show. People are going to all the way up to eight. Yeah, we're going to start getting requests. I'll like bring that mic back.

I'll start sharing on Facebook. No, this is Mike's 15 minutes of lame fame. Mike has been going to peak halfway through the show. I liked peak a long time ago.

So we got to talk about today. So first off, let's take care of some business. Paranormal Expo. Isn't this a big thing?

Take care of that Tim. Because it's mine. Oh mine. Yeah.

I knew that. Let me pull it up. So we've mentioned this several times and I just want to give a shout out to Joshua Hanson for listening to our show. But is that up to nine?

Yeah, I think that puts us to nine. So on October 5th and 6th, they've got some events for the Paranormal Expo. October 5th is going to be a paranormal investigation at the Fort Douglas buildings. Like I believe we got the Commander Center and the General's Courtors and stuff like that.

Which is cool because for those who have been to our investigations, or even the PodBatch investigation, it's always been the Fort Douglas Museum, which is an awesome venue and we'll be going back there in October. We'll talk about that in a minute. But many, many moons ago, I want to say it's been almost six years ago, we did an investigation at the Commander's Building, the Chapel, the Officers Club, and the big post theater. I'm not sure we have all those buildings on the 5th, but we've got some of them in the Commander's House in particular.

We had some amazing activity. When I was there last time, Chunka was talking, had a big bright yellow light. It just kind of started really dim, got really bright and then flashed out in the room. We couldn't explain it.

We tried to go through and debunk it. I think a room of about 30 people saw it. Another room there in the Commander's Building, we were in there and we saw a visible orb on the floor, circling around our feet. Circled on our feet was going in circles and then just kind of disappeared by the ball of light, moving intelligently and it was about ten of us saw it.

I had a door move in the Commander's Building. They actually had a kind of face in a photograph of the Commander's Building Pack. When Chunka talks about shutting down an investigation because he was freaked out, the Commander's Building was that building. So this is definitely an investigation you want to go to.

If you haven't already got your tickets, if it's not already sold out, it's going to be awesome. Who's all going to be there Tim? We should be there because we're running the investigation. True.

Although we're not the ones hosting the event, we're just helping staff it, kind of like we did with the Chunka Hunt. This is actually put on by Dark and Missed. They've changed their name so many times. I don't know what they called anymore.

Basically Ann Lee Broider and her company. Her production company? Yes. I know that they've gone and they're adding a couple more guest celebrities to the investigation.

So not only will you have the opportunity to investigate with Chip Coffee, you'll be able to investigate with Ben Hanson. I believe Jimmy Lynn Darling will be there. Greg Lawson will be there. The parent will be detective.

And Andrea Peron, parent parent, the lady from the Conjuring movie. One of those, she's the oldest daughter from that family. She will also be one of the guest celebrities at the investigation. And from what I hear, we're still, Cassel and I have to go scout the event, the location still, so we can kind of plan out the event a little bit further.

But there's like a gazebo type area that we're thinking we're going to put Andrea in because apparently not only does she attract spirits, but there's an increase in UFO activity when she's around. So we're going to put her outside to see if we can see an increase if you see if those groups outside can see if there's any increase of that kind of activity as well. Anyway, it should be an investigation that you don't want to mess with. Those tickets are only $35 and they are selling really fast.

So if you don't have yours, get it as soon as possible, you're going to miss out on an investigation of lifetime. Like right now. We'll have Tim put up some links again on the webpage. I think I've been posting those every other week.

Every time we have a new show come out, I have every post of the events. So check our pages, there should be links there. Go buy your tickets, we will see you there. And again, this is a unique venue.

I know Tim hasn't investigated it. I know Mike hasn't investigated it. Deanna has been there with me. I've driven past it though.

Does that count for anything? No. I went by and waved one. If you put me out, we'll attract lots of mosquitoes.

Oh my Jesus. There's so many mosquitoes. We call him the Mosquito. That was at the Benson Coast.

It's a magic spell. But the following day, October 5th, 6th, so the 5th is the investigation. 6th is the actual Expo. 6th comes after 5.

Yes. So that runs usually. That's also going to be held at Fort Douglas as well. That will be running that day from 10.30 A.M.

to 7.00 P.M. and you'll have certain guest speakers, like the ones I just mentioned, Chip Coffey, Ben Hanson, Jimin Darlene, Greg Lawson. Alien Dave will be there. In Brauswin Tascaville will be there.

He's an author of The Paranormal. You can say his name but you can't say Perin. but you can't say Peron. Well it's P-E-R-R-O-N that could be Peron or Peron.

All right, or Smith. But Andrea Peron or Peron will be there as well. I've heard it said both ways, so I don't know. You're mixing up with Evita Peron.

You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to ask her. OK. And then we'll never get wrong.

There's a lot more celebrities that are going to be there on top of these ones. And not directly on top of them, but as well as these guests. We're back going to be. Tickets for that are going to be $10 for general admission.

If you want to get in and see the guest speakers, because those will be off in separate rooms. $10 pass, kids $12 and under are free. However, they will have a kids area where you can do face painting and blue and animals and other kid activities. They will be charging $12 for that, but that gets you the whole kid center.

Again, the price on this is really good. We've been to a lot of events in this price really. $10 for general admission. That gets you all the vendors and the panels.

So the only thing that, I mean, you're looking at an extra $25 if you want to see the guest speakers. If you just want to come in and cruise around and see the panels, $10, that's a really good price. You can stop by the Advanced Peronormal Services booth too. Yes.

Correct. We will be there. And then we will probably be podcasting from there. So we will be talking to some of these people.

That's worth $20 alone. But you get that for $10. Anyway, and we will have some merchandise there. By the way, we'll have hats.

We should have some stickers. Stickers? I need to call those people, because they never got back to me like this at the window. And they'd like the nice vinyl sticker to come in your car that say cool things like Castle Rocks and Supernatural Hour.

I'm not going to waste money unless this is Castle Rocks. Castle Rules? Yeah, no. But there will be Advanced Peronormal Services stickers.

There will be Supernatural Hour Stickers. Come see us. It's going to be a lot of fun. It really is.

There's nobody's not to come this thing. October, it's time to get your spook off. If anything else, if you've met our friend, Caden, who does gallery readings, then you're definitely going to want to sit down and do the gallery reading with chip coffee that night. That's going to be running from 5 to 7.30, I believe.

And that would be closing out the expo. And the prices for that, those are set. That's just because that's the price of the chip is charging, basically. But there's three different sections.

There's the front, middle, and back section. Tickets start at $35 for the back section, $45 for the middle. And if you want to sit up front, you're looking at $55 per ticket. And again, if you're into the group reading thing, that can be a lot of fun.

And that's also a good price. I've seen group reading things get a lot more expensive than that. I've seen them up to $100 to $120 for group reading. So that's our first event in October.

Second event. And we actually had an investigation that we forgot about. Yes. Well, that's because I wasn't in charge of the scheduling of this event.

It was off of my calendar because I didn't schedule it. But on October 12, which is a Friday, so it'll be the following weekend after the expo. We will be selling tickets, and we'll be investigating a Bensinger smell. And tickets will be online as you hear this.

You'll be able to go on and purchase them right now. So if you didn't get invited to the potluck or just weren't able to make it, Bensinger smells coming up again here to great place. I'd like to point out, if you got invited to the potluck and you didn't come, you suck. Oh my god.

It was so amazing. I ate so much food that I hurt to move. There was a lot on top of that. I mean, we had a lot of activity.

There was a lot of activity. It was awesome. Yeah, we had Michelle Newman, who's been on the show with the paranormal medium. Sean.

Sean Newman. Utah County medium. Are you talking? No, sorry.

Utah medium. Caden's the Utah County medium. He lives in Ogden. Is that making the other weaver?

County medium. I thought that it just makes him a guy that drives a truck. I don't have no idea what it would. There's so much income.

I drive a truck. Is driving on the medium? Driving on a big old truck. I'm a medium.

I watched a movie once I'm a medium. Hey, Mike. I'm a 4XL. We'll be honest.

I'm about to say, I don't think you're a medium. I had a chick's dig it. Chick's dig me. Especially come Santa time.

I had a big love Santa. Amen. You should be up here. You have to start eating the truck at Santa.

Brown Santa Claus. Brown Santa Claus. No. No.

And then I think we also have another investigation at the end of the month. Another? What day is that? October 27th.

We'll be back at Fort Douglas in the Fort Douglas Museum. So you get the opportunity to investigate the same venue, from part of the venue. Well, technically not the same venue. The same campus.

Same campus. Same campus. Same campus. Same building.

So Fort Douglas is huge. There's so many buildings there. And again, if you're unable to come and investigate with us at the beginning of the month for the Expo, that's unfortunate. But you'll still be able to come and do an investigation at the same area, just different buildings at the end of the month.

And we usually always have activity there as well. Yeah, Fort Douglas is one we like to go back to because I've never really walked out of Fort Douglas disappointed. I've never been to Chris Mills. Another one I've never been disappointed walking out of.

I'm actually really excited for the Expo and the Commander's Building because that's probably one of the craziest venues I've ever investigated as far as just activity, off the charts activity. But come investigate with us. Like I said, when you hear this, those links are going to be up at AdvancedPernible.com. And you should be able to go on there, purchase your tickets.

We're going to make sure we price them reasonably so that everybody can come out and have some fun. So far, we don't have anything planned for November or December, but I'm not going to let you guys know where we're going yet, but save the date for January 12th because we do have an investigation schedule for that day as well. So Benson, Chris, I'm only October, bring a jacket. It's going to be a little chilly.

Yes, it will be. It'll be cold outside. But there's so much stuff going on with us in October. It's a very busy month for us.

And we hope to see all of you at some point in time. All right. Now that we've spent 15 minutes doing hats, hats, hats. Hats, hats.

Let's get into show the show. Today's show was brought to you by AdvancedPernible Services. You can find us at advancedpernibleservices.com. Say, Tim said, you can get a 0% discount on your ever time.

Get a 5% discount on anything that we steal from you. Hey, Tim gives good discounts. My wife asked him for an Advanced Pernible Services hat. And I want to say the asking price was like $25.

$25? He told her for your babe. I'll give you a $24.99. I didn't call her babe, though.

You were thinking of though. But sure. Yeah. Let's say, hey babe, you know what?

For you, $24.99. Tim is calling her babe. He's got one more respect for me usually. I winked at her and everything over text.

How are you doing? How are you doing? All right. So what we're going to do this show is, well, we've talked about Bets and Grisma a little bit, Mike.

Yes. Tell us about the activity you had at Bets and Grisma. Oh, we had lots of activity. And this is just besides the speed.

It actually weren't that bad. Because I know it's after the wind died. That's when it got crazy bad. Yeah.

Yeah. What can you do? So we had lots of activity out there, like Castle said. So I think the most exciting activity that I had, well, was there and my wife and friend of ours, Kaleem, was there with her.

And they were in there. Terry is never. My wife is Terry. She's never really been.

She's not really super experienced, but I gave her some dowsing rods because they work for her. We found out about the last four dowsing rods. That's investigation. So come out and investigate because you might find out that hey, rods work for you.

By the way, I got to say, Mike is like our dowsing rod expert. This guy is like a killer. It's crazy how well they work for me anyway. Anyway, so we were over in the schoolhouse.

She walked in and immediately had the rods out and they just pushed back. They were straight out in front and they just pushed all the way around and touched her shoulders, each side of her shoulders. And she's like, wow, this is kind of cool and anyway, we found out that there's a teacher there in the schoolhouse. It has a couple things that she likes.

She likes the glow balls. So we always like to take these glow in the dark balls. They're like the little glow sticks. She loved the glow balls because it reminds her of a soft light of a lantern.

But she did not allow us to throw the ball in the classroom because she's still the teacher. Still has the rules. But no, we had some really good experiences. She was very willing to answer questions.

She we found out her name was Lene. She was a Native American Indian. And but was the teacher there. And we found that out because Brandi actually stepped in and asked her, say, hey, what's your name?

And she's like, I can't say that. I can't pronounce that. And she says, OK, we can just call her Lene. And she confirmed it with the rods.

So if you've never seen Dazzing Rod's work before, usually it'll do as we'll put it out in front of you make sure that you're not touching the rods. You just hold it out of the handles. And you can usually either ask a spirit. What a yes answer would be for them or you can say no, or ask them what no answer is.

Or you can just tell them if it's a yes. You can cross them or if it's a no, spread them apart. And that's usually what I do. But she confirmed all the things that Brandi was telling us.

And she was just great and happy that we were there. She doesn't like her chalkboard being touched. Yeah, as I said, I know somebody who drew the chalkboard. And she didn't like the chalkboard being touched.

And she also didn't like some of the deaths being touched or sit in. There were some spots where she was just uncomfortable with us being so. This is a little girl or the teacher. This is the teacher.

OK. This is the teacher. This is the only one I did encounter the teacher as well. I went to the medsia at the school house a little bit later after you did.

Were she's local for you? No. So I had a completely different experience in the school house. I went over there with KP.

KP Brown? Yes, KP Brown. And one of our investigators, Mark. And Mark is kind of sensitive.

He can kind of fill energy as well. We picked up on the fact that there was a little boy in the room as long as the teacher. And we picked up on the energy that was outside the door of the school house. And I noticed it was there.

And I pointed out to Mark and Mark kind of felt the energy too. And he was like, well, come on in. And I instantly said, no. No, he needs to stay outside.

And when I started describing what I thought he looked like, he was a tall man. Had a beard. He was wearing like a plaid shirt, brown pants. And I thought he was like drunk or an e-breathed or something.

I actually found out in front of the brain that the guy had a head injury. But what I was looking at, or kind of what I saw through his eyes, was even though the door to the school house was wide open to him, it looked like it was closed and latched and locked. And he couldn't get in. And it was funny because I actually had my geophones set up on one of the desks behind me.

And we kind of tested it out and walked around and saw where if it was not sitting at all or if it was something else. And at this point, we were all just sitting down. Mark was standing in the doorway. KP and I were sitting at desks.

None of us were moving. And right about the time I kind of got the feeling that the energy that really picked up. And Mark felt it. KP felt it.

I felt it. But it seemed like the spirit was trying to break the door down. And as this was going on, the geophones started going off like crazy. But none of us were physically moving.

Oh, interesting. And I guess they took some pictures and they showed it to Peaches later. And she confirmed that the little boy and the teacher were actually standing right next to the desk where my geophone was. So I believe that when that spirit was trying to break the door down, it was the teacher and the little boy trying to get her attention.

Was that a desk in the middle in the back? Yes, actually. That's the one that she didn't like a stuchen. And Peaches, her response to that was to why was that pupil.

And so maybe that's where the boy was. Like, yeah, that's his desk. I got the feeling that the little boy wanted to cross. So I went and spoke to Brandi and she crossed him over.

But that was the only spirit. I mean, we've had an episode on it before. When it comes to crossing spirits at the public venues, we only do it if they ask us. We don't go there with the intention of crossing spirits.

So this little boy is afraid he wanted our help. We gave it to him. Michelle Newman, who's with us, sent me a text. And she told me that she actually got touched while she's in there.

It's interesting because Michelle's a medium as well. And she told me that one thing that she learned from the spirits there is they really want us to start asking some more questions because apparently us and every other investigative group on the planet ask the exact same questions over and over and over. And it's hard not to as an investigator. Is there someone here with us?

Are you a man or a woman? How did you die? I started asking, do you like pizza? Have you ever had pizza before?

What's your favorite kind? Do you like, like, when dowsing rods? Cross them for pepperoni, spread them for pineapple? Yeah, and I say, and in reality, and that's a good path, I think, for all of us to go down, is to realize that we do ask the same questions on these places.

And it may be a good idea to start asking some just awful questions. And I think it might be a good practice, too, to bring like a little investigation journal. I believe I mentioned this in the past, but bring like a little journal. And right now, I'm like, OK, I'm in this building.

This is the spirit I was talking to. This is the information I got. So you can kind of build on that from the next time you're there. So just going into the room every time I'm in, like, are you here with us?

Make the flashlight move. Like, it's as much fun as it would be for us to see something get moved or pushed or whatever by a spirit. And it does happen. But very rarely.

So I think maybe if you get to know the spirit a little bit more and you ask those more complex questions, like, you know, not that what kind of pizza do you like is a complex question, but something that I'm not used to hearing. If you get to know the spirit a little bit more and they feel more comfortable around you, you might actually get that reaction or interaction with that spirit that you're looking for. Yeah, so it was an insight that Michelle had that when she said it, I'm like, you know what? She's absolutely right.

We do need to expand and start asking a little bit different and more complex questions. Because we do go in a lot of times and ask a lot of the same questions, because you are trying to find out if you're talking to a man or a woman or if there's somebody there. And so that's actually a really good idea. Well, and then keep this in mind too.

Like, say, especially during September, October, that's going to be the busy season for investing in because everyone is getting into Halloween mood. You've got that certain venues that are booked out every Friday and Saturday for investigations for two months straight. So two days a week, I know times doesn't exist for spirits, so it could feel like these people are just coming in non-stop. What's your name?

Are you a man or a woman? I said, Bill Dammit. Getting to know. So for them, it could seem like it's just a non-stop thing.

It's not, the time doesn't pass for them the same way it does for us. So even though it could be the right next day that someone else is there asking the same question, or it could be two weeks later, to them, it could all be within 10 minutes. You have no idea. So I could see the frustration from a spirit point of view, where you just have the same, or different people coming in over and over and over again going, Tim, are you a man?

Tim, are you a man? Tim, are you here? Tim are you a man? Can you show us some sign that you're here?

Yeah, I just did. I don't think anybody else asks about pizza, so I think I've got a niche there. And so they're going to remember me. I'm going to come back and they're like, that's the guy that asked me about pizza.

You know what? I'm glad you brought that up, because we actually brought you on the show for a specific reason. And that's that we want to know one about. Did you say Pacific or specific?

Pacific, specific. Specific? Specific, right? You said it, right?

But we actually brought you on the show on purpose, because we wanted to ask you some questions. That's OK. Do you want to hear about the other one? The other one of Vincent?

Yes, let's check that out. So the other one that we had was some really, we had several spots that were getting a lot of things. But the other one that was really kind of crazy and knew for me in my expansive history of investigating is we were up in the top floor of the mill, and we were talking to, we believe he was a teenager. And he actually tugged on the dowsing rods.

He like, pulled on. So it's almost like if you've ever been fishing and it's been just sitting out there and then you see the fish strike it and you see the pole kind of bob. That's kind of what it was like. He just kind of jerked mine.

And then he also jerked the taries. And she didn't like it. And she feels the rods. When they move, she feels their energy in her hands.

And so she feels kind of, I don't feel the energy like that, but I can definitely see the rods move. But yeah, he tugged on. And I was like, that is the coolest thing. Do it again.

But that was one of the new things that was new for me anyway. One thing we do there, too, is whenever we've been there, there's been a higher than usual amount of EMF energy. Oh, my gosh, there was EMF all over the place. But I debunked it.

There's a cell tower just outside the pavilion that I think is where the energy's coming from. But I think because of all the EMF energy coming up that cell tower, I think that makes that a very good area for spiritual activity. Oh, yeah, there's a lot of the feedback. I'm just saying, like, no matter where we went, and we've talked about it before, there's like a certain line just right down the middle of the field that was just constant EMF.

Like, it doesn't matter where we went. I was testing it with two K2 meters. And it was? Leyline.

Yeah. Leyline of cell tower energy. Yeah, I tested a couple different K2 meters. And there's so many, I mean, there's power lines and cell towers nearby that they're just so much EMF.

But I think, like you said, one of the reasons why we have so much activity there, which is, in my opinion, it kind of makes the K2's useless. But at the same time, it makes everything out so much worthwhile. I don't know that makes him useless, but you know it makes him useless. You have to kind of establish a baseline.

And the baseline in the big mill is three lights on your K2 meter, anything above three lights. No, we had it spiking up to the red a bunch of times, Mark and I did. Yeah, I was saying that's, but the general baseline, there's about three lights. But ultimately, yeah, it does kind of make him useless there.

So let's go back to Mike and ask Mike a few questions because we actually brought him here to interview. So that's really the question. He's not afraid. So you just mentioned just a minute ago about your extensive background in the paranormal world.

Yes. Which Castell and I know to be fairly recent. So the reason why we wanted to bring you on the show is, one, you've only been doing this. We met you just about a year ago, just over a year ago.

And I was actually at our Benton Griss Mill plot look is where we met you last year. You had emailed us a couple times before and asked some questions. We had a couple. You had emailed me like every day for like two weeks asking questions.

I had a lot of questions. You did have a lot of questions. And you still do, which is awesome because I think any investigator that says they don't have any questions and they're not trying to figure out more about the paranormal world, in my opinion, is kind of giving up. Time to hang up your notes.

So why don't you give us a little bit of your background like kind of what got you interested in the paranormal? All right. Well, I've always believed in spirits. It kind of goes along.

I'm LDS. And so just kind of goes with the territory. There's life after death and everything. And it always freaked me out.

Spirits always scared the crap out of me. Why do you think that is? I don't know. I still don't know.

I don't know. Is that scary? Maybe just because it's like a non-understanding way. I think a lot of misconceptions.

So like you see a lot of horror movies. So like for example, movies like, you know, it's like with Freddy Krueger or Jason. those don't scare me. It's like that's focus.

There's no slasher film. There's no non-stop. that's running around. It can't be killed.

It just doesn't happen. But ghosts are real. And you can't see them. And I think that's one of those things.

Because they're there. I can't see them. And I can't control that. And I think that was one of those things that really kind of scared me with it.

And then a lot of it was just the unknown. That's probably the biggest thing. You know, we fear what we don't know. So is it more like human spirits scared you?

Or is it something else? Or like, because I mean, there is a difference between different kind of spirits and whatnot. Oh, I think it was, well, again, I don't think I really understood that there was a difference at that point. You just know that there's something there that you can't see.

So it's kind of a bad. That's a ghost. And they're all scary. Right?

That's where I was. That's all bad. Well, no, I know people like that. I know certain religions out there that they honestly believe that there's no such thing as a human spirit or ghost that everything is just a demon trying to trick us to the human spirit.

I've actually had this conversation with a friend of mine. They think that when you die, your body's buried. And your spirit is, I guess, just a limbo or whatever until the resurrection. And any spirit that we're actually talking to, she told me that it's just a demon pretending to be human spirit.

That's kind of depressing. If that's the case, a lot of those demons are pretty cool because I've talked to some pretty cool spirits. But no, I think a lot of it would go back to what you see in movies. So for example, movies like The Conjuring or one that was my big one.

And this is actually what got me listening to the show was the movie Paranormal Activity. Right? There's things moving around. And I have an announcement to my house.

I know you're here. I don't want to see anything move. If I see something move, we're going to have words. And someone's going.

Now if I understand correctly, the first episode of our show that you ever listened to was that episode. It was. If you want to go back and listen to it, we did kind of like a Hollywood versus reality episode where we watched Paranormal Activity and compared what could happen in real life as opposed to what happened in the movie. And what we concluded is those people did their homework.

Yes, they did. There's some stuff that was a little far fetched. But a lot of it is fairly accurate, in my opinion. Yeah, I would agree with that.

The big takeaway I got from that episode, my wife was a big listener. So she listened to all the episodes up until then. And a very patient woman. Well, she works great cards.

And when you work 12 hour shifts, you can get through a lot of podcasts in a shift. But at any rate, she's like, here, you need to listen to this. So I listened to it. And the big takeaway I got from that episode was that, OK, this stuff could possibly happen.

But the odds of it happening are so slim to none for me but I was just always worried about being dragged out of my bed. I still have a hard time leaving one foot outside of the covers. I think most people do. But I was just always afraid of being dragged out of the bed.

Because I've had stuff happen to me in the past. But I'm not still not 100% in a fair and normal one. I know was. But yeah, so going through that fear.

And then that's where I started asking all these questions. I started going back and listening to the show. And I was like, OK, these guys are, we have the same kind of religious beliefs. And so that's kind of one of the big turnoffs for me is the paranormal world where everybody has the woo woo woo, where they just sound like weirdos.

Oh yeah, that's my biggest gripe with paranormal communities. Are some people who just sound really out there? And it just shuts you down, right? I know what they're talking about.

And I know it makes sense. But the way they present it makes them sound like they're stock-raving lunatic. Leastens of demons. Destroy the files on my computer.

Words of when to go. I mean, I don't understand them. And I think that's the big thing is I don't even know what they're talking about. But that's OK.

That's why we're all still learning. But yeah, so I started asking all these questions, sending all these questions, sharing some of the experiences that I had. And I kept asking more and more questions. And then finally, I shocked my wife, Caden was actually doing a group reading out at Benson.

And she's like, I want to go to this. And I'm like, me too. And she about dropped whatever she was carrying. Because the idea of me ever doing anything kind of do with paranormal was unheard of.

So we went out. We did the group reading out there at the Benson Chris Mill with Caden. And I left questioning a lot of things. There were some things that were like, OK, this makes sense.

And there were some things that didn't totally make sense. And I wasn't completely convinced. I was still skeptical. And one of the things I did is you guys have also talked to one of the shows about cursed objects.

And or objects, not cursed objects, but just objects with attachments. And I asked my wife, because there's anything in our home. If there was one thing, what would you say it would be that has an attachment? We both agreed, this portrait of my great-great-grandma.

And so we showed a picture of that to Caden. And he said, yeah, I need to describe this woman that was standing next to it. And described her in a kind of a pioneer-ish night dress. And when he was in the 1800s, came from Scotland to the Americas with a warm migration.

But anyway, we'd go on for hours. It's like a three-hour show. Sure. Sweet.

You guys are doomed. Nobody else will probably be asked to do it this week. All right. Yeah, what do y'all got to do?

All right. So anyway. So in actual three hours. So then there was a small investigation afterwards.

And honestly, I didn't feel like I witnessed a whole lot that first time. And then it happened to be just a couple weeks later was the WISB BBQ. And because I'd asked so many questions, and you guys were gracious enough to invite me to come out there. My thing was, you had so many questions.

And there's only so much time on the show to answer certain questions. And some questions require more lengthy discussion. So because you had so many questions, we had decided that we actually wanted to meet you in person so we could sit with you and discuss this more in depth. I'm also depending that some questions need to be answered in a personalized manner to avoid the woo woo factor.

I can explain something to you one way, but I might have to explain it to somebody else in a way that makes sense to them. Just because again, the whole woo woo factor of crazy lunatic stuff, you can have to sometimes person. So we don't make fun of all of our listeners to send us emails. We actually turned some of them into our investigators.

Yes. It was a surprise for me there. But in fact, actually, after that group reading with Caden, I even had more questions. And Beaker and Peaches actually just said, you know what?

You live close by the Peaches. Why don't we just come by? So they stopped by and visited and determined that I was a complete weirdo. I say that's kind of like missionaries.

They came up on the door. I'm not going to go. Can you put your book to read? No, but they knew.

We knew they were coming. He actually sent me a message saying, hey, can we stop by? missionaries don't tend to. They're not.

It was more home teacher style. Yeah, more home teacher style. We had an appointment. We had the message.

Awesome. So they came about the end of the month. So but actually it was the beginning of us, the Labor Day weekend. So then we were anyway, I'm getting off stem and all of myself here.

So we end up coming to the paranormal potluck or the team barbecue and investigated again that night. And again, honestly, we left and we didn't have a whole lot of stuff happen that we witnessed. Everybody was trying to have that was have experiences. Was that investigation going kind of south?

Because I had an issue with the spirit and came and convinced everybody that I was attacked by the spirit. So everyone wanted to just follow me around and make sure I was safe. And I felt so bad for you. I tried to set you off with Deann hoping that she would have.

And she was great. She took us in the quilt room and we sat in there and we looked in a mirror. She had seen a full apparition earlier that night. And or at least the parts of anyway.

But she had seen this apparition and she's like, come here, let's do this and let's see if we can get you see something and she was very patient and we still never saw anything. And honestly, well, we left going, this is, we're never coming back to these things again. Well, the funny thing was, it's like, Kate and I told you that night that you were going to have an experience in the barn. What I didn't know is that experience you were going to have in the barn was going to happen like six months later.
