Date: 10.03.14 Speaker: Matt Shantz Texts: Luke 12:35-59 Title: Be Ready | The Master's Return ...I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, 'They are my people,' and they will say, 'The LORD is our God.' Zechariah 13:9 Jesus came into the world as Gods divine plan for the redemption of the world. Jesus, on the cross, made a way for us to approach the Father: through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Jesus defeated sin and death on the cross, rising 3 days later. And that victory will be fully realized upon Christs return. Hes coming again. A lot of people spend a lot of time trying to figure out when exactly He will return and what exactly will happen when He does. Scripture tells us everything that we need to know, and leaves out details that we don't. What we know is that Jesus is coming again and we are instructed [in Luke 12:35-59] to be ready. Most practically, we are instructed to have faith in Jesus and that faith will display itself in the way we live our day-to-day lives. Then, when the Master returns, He will find us faithful and He will serve us at the great banquet table (12:37), which is our eternity with Him!
