Be thankful for Texas/Ohio State this year because beyond that---the non-conference slate has hit ‘rock bottom’ in the Big 10

-The World Herald’s Sam McKewon did a great dive into the B1G’s 54 non-conference games this year, and it’s not pretty as we exist ina world where it’s all about making the playoffs and pushing toward the least amount of losses prior to conference play as possible-McKewon points out that there are just 14 games against Power 4 competition of the 54 non-con games of the league---Nebraska,Indiana, Penn State, USC and Washington have zero---28 games vs. Group of 6 teams, and 12 games vs. the FCS.
