be there for yourself

from Caffeine Crisis · host Angel Salgado

hey besties, I have come to the realization that being there for yourself is very important as you are growing up and experiencing more moments alone to think what step to take next in life. As someone who wants to be available for friends and family, it may seem and feel selfish to put myself first but that does not need to be the case. If people around you truly love you and want the best for you, they will understand when you have to stay in to get through whatever you need to get through. Being overwhelmed and frustrated because plans are not resulting the way you hoped does not have to become a negative train if events. Take failures and beginnings openly to learn lessons and build patience to get to the bigger picture you have in mind, and not everyone will see that.

Host: Ralph Sara Explicit All Ears with Abigail Disney Abigail Disney Abigail has a new documentary, The American Dream and Other Fairy Tales, in which she examines the inequality crisis through the lens of the company her grandfather helped found, The Walt Disney Company. In the film, she asks how it is possible that so many workers at Disneyland, aka “the happiest place on earth,” can’t afford life's basic necessities, even when they work full time. For the fourth season of All Ears, Abigail poses that question to people who are doing the most Disney thing of all–using their imaginations–in this case to rethink capitalism. She talks with business leaders, union organizers, and economists to learn how they would fix our broken economy. Explicit Crisis: Clergy Abuse in the Catholic Church The Catholic Project A series about the sexual abuse crisis in the Catholic Church: its origins, characters, causes, and reforms.
