Be Your Own Valentine

from The StressFreeMD Podcast · host Robyn Tiger MD

On this episode, which was recorded during the month of February or "Valentine's month", we will focus on the concept of love. You will learn the 5 ways you can love another person based on how that person needs to be loved, looking at it through the eyes of the other person receiving your love, because it may be very different than the way that you need to receive love. I found out about this insightful concept originally described by Gary Chapman in his book "The Five love Love Languages".  5 love languages:#1: kind words#2: quality time#3: tangible gifts#4: acts of kindness#5: physical touchWhat he describes is the path of love from you to another. I will share with you 2 additional love paths: from others to  you, and from you to you....now this last one is the hardest for most of us to do (me included). So if you are like me, you may have found that it is much easier to love others than it is to love yourself. As physician caregivers and healers, it just comes much more naturally to give love than to receive love. And as perfectionists, which many of us are, it can be hard to see ourselves as already perfect exactly as we are….sometimes hard to see ourselves as even worthy of love.So let's see how we can turn all of that around -- listen in on  your favorite platform 🎧---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Earn CME:Reflect on how this Podcast applies to your day-to-day and earn AMA PRA Category 1 CMEs here: https://earnc.me/LgbFND----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Register for Rx Inner Peace: A Physician's Guide for Self-Care (25 CME):https://mahec.net/event/65278Check out StressFreeMD:https://www.stressfreemd.net/Physicians schedule your FREE 30-Minute Stress Relief Strategy Call:https://go.oncehub.com/StressReliefStrategyCallGet your 3 FREE stress relieving videos:https://www.stressfreemd.net/free-self-care-videosPhysicians: join our free private physicians-only Facebook group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/thephysiciansselfcarecommunityFollow me on Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/stressfreemd/Connect with me on LinkedInhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/robyntigermd/Follow me on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/robyntigermdFollow me on Twitter:https://twitter.com/robyntigermdExclusive physician CME accredited programming: Rx Inner Peacehttps://www.stressfreemd.net/rxinnerpeaceSelf-Care Shop--accredited programs for healthcare and open to everyonehttps://www.stressfreemd.net/selfcareshopPrivate 1:1 Coachinghttps://www.stressfreemd.net/[email protected] website:https://www.podpage.com/the-stressfreemd-podcast/
