BEARING WITH ONE ANOTHER

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Devotional Message: Scripture: "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." – Ephesians 4:2 Relationships are a vital part of our Christian walk, and Paul’s words in Ephesians 4:2 remind us that they require intentional effort. Bearing with one another means choosing to love, forgive, and walk alongside others even when it's not easy. It’s not about tolerating people grudgingly, but about loving them with the grace we ourselves have received. To bear with others, we must clothe ourselves with humility, recognizing we are not superior; with gentleness, responding in kindness; and with patience, allowing room for growth and mistakes. These are fruits of the Spirit, cultivated as we walk closely with Christ. In a world quick to judge and slow to forgive, God calls us to reflect His love by extending grace to others. Bearing with one another builds unity and strengthens the body of Christ. It helps create safe, nurturing spaces where people can be real, grow, and heal together. Today, ask yourself: Am I quick to judge or slow to bear with others in love? How can I grow in humility, gentleness, and patience toward those around me? Prayer: Almighty Father, help me to bear with others in love. Fill my heart with humility, gentleness, and patience. Teach me to extend grace as freely as You’ve given it to me, so that I may walk in unity with others and reflect Your heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
