The Chicago Bears found themselves in a shootout against the San Francisco 49ers in NFL Week 17. Caleb Williams had a strong performance in the loss, routinely hitting chunk gains to Luther Burden and Colston Loveland. D’Andre Swift found paydirt twice, eclipsing 1,000 rush yards in the process. His 2nd TD knotted the game at 35. The Bears took a 38-35 lead in the the 4th quarter on a Cairo Santos field goal. The 49ers answered with a Jajuan Jennings TD, giving Caleb a chance to win it with 2 minutes remaining. Near the 49ers end zone, Caleb had just 4 seconds left to win the game, but a final pass attempt came up just short.
