Beast of Bladenboro

from Within The Mist

Bladenboro is a small community surrounded by pine forests and swamps at the southeastern edge of the North Carolina piedmont. A lot of the county is made up of large forests and swampland, a perfect environment for bears, deer, bobcats and just about any other type of beast. It was also the setting for the greatest string of monster attacks during 1953-54 that the state has ever known. One eyewitness described the animal as "about four and a half feet long, bushy, and resembling either a bear or a panther".  Whatever it was, it was responsible for the deaths of over a half dozen dogs which were all found ripped apart yet devoid of any blood.Join Gary and GoldieAnn as they take a walk Within the Mist to describe the events of a community in fear of the Beast of Bladenboro.Within The Mist Podcast Page: https://www.facebook.com/WithinTheMistPodcast"Fear" by David Fesliyan: https://www.fesliyanstudios.com/royalty-free-music/download/fear/351--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/withinthemist/supportFacebook Fan Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/544933724571696Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/withinthemistpodcast/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@withinthemistpodcast1977 Hosted on Acast.
