Beatdown in Beantown: Yankees Embarrased by Red Sox

It was almost unfathomable how poorly the Yankees played at Fenway Park, losing all four games to the last-place Red Sox. This wasn't just about their inept offense which produced a .133 team batting average and managed just three hits in each of the last three games. This was a total team meltdown as their starting pitching was uncharacteristically poor, their bullpen was shaky as it has been all year, and the defense was bad enough to lead to eight unearned Red Sox runs. Just a complete catastrophe, made worse by the fact that it was a division rival doing the dominating.
