This is the place where sports opinions collide dead in 365 here again with you guys. Shelton J. Man, I'm coming to you by the time you see this, it's been a couple of days that will have passed since the championship game. Yes, my tar heels went down in defeat.
I was disappointed to say the least. It was hurtful because we were up 15 and a half. I don't know if you have not watched go back and watch the video. My brother just put up man.
It was crazy between the two of us because we had on this Kansas sweat suit. I had on my Carolina sweat suit. We were going at it. My mom was kind in the middle, but I really thought we had them.
I thought we had the better team going into the game. I felt like we had a better team during the game. We went on the run like 38 to 13 run. We went on and up by 15 at the half.
I just felt like we were in control somewhere along the way. We lost control in the second half and Kansas had a couple of players step up big. And the next thing you know, we were looking up at a deficit. What he was definitely looking up.
Second half made this a great game and it was one of the largest come back in NCAA championship game history. It was it was pretty good, man. And I really, really was pleased with the fact that it was a good game. It was close game.
To be honest with you, my championship game was a couple of nights prior when we beat the coach came for the second time of the year and during the season, I didn't feel like we could do it. And we did it. So I was I was ecstatic from that. I really thought that the reference goes set this thing up to where Duke was automatically in the championship.
Coach came to go down to history as the greatest. So I was kind of rooting for Kansas anyway. So I was kind of okay with it, but you know, it just so happened to go that way, man. It went the way it went and I'm not disappointed.
I would be interested to see how we come back next year and to see which guys declare because I really don't know how it's going to go. I thought that Kevin Love. I mean, I'm sorry. Love played a great tournament for Carolina.
I think that he will declare, but I'm not sure I hadn't seen any reports of him doing so yet. I think Bay code has gone even though he was a junior. We'll see why RJ Davis, which I don't think he should leave, but we don't know. Manic will be grown.
Who's the other starter, but we got some people in the wings and we think we got some people coming in. So we'll just see what Hubert Davis does because this team as president and constructive was a Roy Williams team, but we'll see what happens, man. But overall, I'm pleased with the effort. Went from an eight seed to beat UCLA.
We beat Duke. We beat Baylor. So we knocked off a couple of the top teams. We made a nice run.
So shout out to those guys at Carolina, man. We're running only 60 and they made it happen. They did what nobody included myself thought they would do. So I appreciate the effort and we'll see what happens going forward.
I think that will be OK. And we'll see what Hubert does. I owe him an apology because he did have a good year, but in hoping things will work out. But once again, go to our heels, man.
And it is one of the inside of my brother, man, congrats to Kansas as well. But we'll be back and that'll do it for me. And once again, it's another day at three sixty five.
