Beatitudes 6 Mt 5-8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God

The imagery revealed in this text is that of the high priest going into the Holy of Holies. He had to be cleansed of his own sins and the sins of the people. This is the only way he could go into the presence of God. We too must be cleansed by the blood of the Lamb in order to come into the presence of God. This speaks of our motives, our motives must be pure.
