Beatles vs Beach Boys (sort of Pt 2)

I reference Brian Wilson being inspired by Revolver when I should have said it was Rubber Soul…apologies in advance. And as I was in the process of fixing it, there was a whole back-up inadvertent deleting situation that precluded that from happening 😩 Well - we had to do it. I alluded to it in the last episode and well, we went and did it. Here for your listening pleasure, or possibly anguish, is our take, hot or otherwise, of the comparing and contrasting of three iconic albums. Two by the Beatles and one by the Beach Boys - call it the battle of the boy bands if you will. Daphne joins me once again to discuss, dissect and determine whether it's possible for me to move my needle on the Beatles. If you listened to the first Beatles episode, you'll know that I decided, that they, like the Louvre (yes the museum in Paris) were fine. Fine is not what many would use to describe this most beloved, adored and deified band, but that's where I landed. Ozzy said that before the Beatles the world was black and white and after them, it was all in colour. I don't know that I changed my view so dramatically to be able to agree with this Wizard of Oz perspective...but let's just say there was a shift. Listen in to a conversation that is almost certain to have its detractors, but hopefully you will find it, if not agreeable, at the very least entertaining, and Daphne does not disappoint with their uncanny Beatles trivia and knowledge. Neither of us pretend to be experts, and these are merely our "perspectives".
