I suppose someone, somewhere does, but I’ve never really considered feet all that beautiful as far as body parts go. My own are high-arched, gnarly appendages, constantly bearing my weight and often tired and sore. So when I read Isaiah 52:7, “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news...”, I struggled with the feet metaphor. That is, until I realized that the focus of the verse is not the feet, but the good news that makes the feet so beautiful. That good news is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Where would we be if Jesus did not come to this world, live life perfectly, and die on that terrible cross, to rise again three days later? I know where we would be...in bondage to sin, deserving of the wrath of God with a truly terrible eternity ahead of us. How thankful I am that my mother shared the good news with me. I now have the privilege of sharing that same message with others. This series aims to explain the good news so we can proclaim it. Yet not only proclaim it, but live it and experience its powerfully transforming results! I hope you join us as we look at Beautiful Feet that bring the good news of Jesus Christ.
