Beauty pageant aimed at recognising and celebrating single mothers

On the Early Breakfast show this morning Relebogile had a chat with Victoria Andrews - Founder and President of Miss Single Mom Pageant Organization about a beauty pageant aimed at recognising and celebrating single mothers. A majority of mothers we encounter on a day to day basis are single mothers. According to statistician general, Pali Lehohla, who presented the report recently, 886 202 babies were born last year. More than 50% of the women who gave birth were single. Just over 39% of children live with their mothers, and these mothers are struggling to support both themselves and their children financially.
