BEAUTY (September 29)

The pleasing or attractive features or qualities of something or someone, often associated with aesthetics but also associated with inner characteristics such as kindness or grace. Psalm 27:4 - One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple. Practice: Cultivate the ability to see the beauty that surrounds you. Remember that God made you and everyone you encounter today with care and wonder. Try to appreciate the beauty in others, not just their outward appearance but also their hearts and spirits. Prayer: Creator God, help me see and appreciate the beauty you've created in the world, others, and myself. Let me not just focus on the outward appearance but also value the inner beauty that reflects your image. In Jesus' name, amen.
